ZAMFARA, EBONYI, AND KADUNA GOVERNORS HONORED AT DEMOCRACY HEROES AWARD AFRICA

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, along with his counterparts from Ebonyi, Francis Nwifuru, and Kaduna, Uba Sani, were among the notable leaders honored at the Democracy Heroes Award Africa, held in Abuja. The event, part of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary celebrations, recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to democratic growth and national development.

Other honorees included Niger State Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, members of the House of Representatives James Faleke and Abubakar Kabir Bichi, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, National Chairman of the Accord Party Prof. Chris Imumolen, and Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Commission, Tosin Adeoju.

The Democracy Heroes Award, hosted by Face of Democracy Nigeria (FDN), also recognized entrepreneurs, business leaders, and entertainers for their efforts in promoting job creation, youth empowerment, and poverty alleviation.

Representatives of Governor Dauda Lawal, while accepting the award, celebrated the institutionalization of democracy in Nigeria and expressed optimism for further growth in governance and democratic practices.

FDN Project Director, Olufunsho Ajagbonna, also known as Fajag, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success and congratulated the winners, urging them to continue contributing to national development and good governance.
