Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello visited the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Abuja to voluntarily turn himself in but was not interrogated and was allowed to leave.
According to Bello’s media office, his visit was in compliance with the EFCC’s invitation, demonstrating his respect for the law. Michael Ohiare, Director of Media, clarified that Bello’s decision to honor the invitation was to clear his name, emphasizing that he has nothing to hide or fear.
Bello is currently facing charges related to alleged money laundering and breach of trust, alongside his nephew Ali Bello, Dauda Sulaiman, and Abdulsalam Hudu. The case is ongoing, with Bello’s media office asserting that the court will ultimately determine his fate.
