“WE NEED TO THROW NIGERIA INTO THE OCEAN” – NIGERIAN WRITER JADE OSIBERU
Renowned Nollywood screenwriter and director Jadiberu has responded to a notable statement made by Senator Ali Ndume.
The senator suggested that corruption among Nigerian politicians is driven by societal expectations, implying that they embezzle funds with the intention of sharing them with others.
In reaction to this assertion, Jadiberu expressed a sentiment of despair for Nigeria, suggesting that the country should be compacted into a small space and cast into the ocean. In her words, she emphasized, “Just pack the whole country inside Ghana-Mosul and throw it inside the ocean.”
It’s worth recalling that in May 2024, Kemi Filani reported on Jade’s views regarding Nigerian men’s attitudes toward women. She noted that while many Nigerian men may be sexually attracted to women, only a small minority genuinely appreciate them. However, she did not delve into the reasons behind this observation.
Also, controversial Twitter personality Daniel Regha previously commented on Nigeria’s ongoing economic crisis. He criticized certain tribes in Nigeria for their apathetic behavior, asserting that such indifference makes them no better than the leaders and government they criticize.
