As excitement builds for the launch of EA Sports FC 25, the list of the top 100 players in the game has been released. Notably, Victor Osimhen is the sole Nigerian footballer included in this elite group, despite a downgrade in his overall rating from the previous edition.
OSIMHEN’S RATING AND PERFORMANCE
Currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, the 25-year-old Osimhen remains among the top African players in EA FC 25 but has seen his rating drop from 88 to 87. This decrease follows a less impressive season for Napoli, even though Osimhen had notable individual performances.
His new rating places him just behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who maintains the highest rating of 89 among African players in the game.

- ADEMOLA LOOKMAN of Atalanta retained his rating of 81 from the previous edition, despite a standout season, including a hat-trick in the Europa League final. His consistent performances have not led to an upgrade, which is surprising given his crucial role in both Atalanta’s success and the Super Eagles’ journey to the AFCON 2023 final.
- VICTOR BONIFACE enjoyed the biggest rating increase among Super Eagles players. The Bayer Leverkusen forward’s impressive debut season earned him a substantial upgrade to 81.
