Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has disclosed how he acquired the audio recording of cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky. This revelation comes as VeryDarkMan attended a hearing with the House of Representatives to address allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

Initially, VeryDarkMan was reluctant to testify, insisting that his lawyer would represent him. His refusal to speak stemmed from Bobrisky’s absence during the proceedings. However, the Committee Chairman expressed frustration with VeryDarkMan’s stance, stating that he could not dictate the proceedings or the necessity of Bobrisky’s presence. The Chairman emphasized, “We can also compel him to come before us; we can invoke our powers to arrest him.”

He further advised VeryDarkMan to proceed with his testimony, highlighting the importance of addressing the serious allegations that prompted the hearing. VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, eventually convinced him to testify.

In his testimony, VeryDarkMan explained that the audio recording came to him as a result of Bobrisky allegedly blackmailing an individual he owed money. He stated, “How I got hold of that recording is as a result of Bobrisky blackmailing somebody he owes money. According to the story and evidence of proof of chat that was sent to me.”

He detailed that the individual had lent Bobrisky ₦4 million while he was either in EFCC detention or staying in a private apartment, noting that the money was given on June 19, 2024.
