UEFA Imposes Bans and Fines on Seven Countries Following Euro 2024 for Fan Discrimination
UEFA has announced disciplinary actions against seven countries participating in Euro 2024 due to discriminatory behavior by their fans. The fines and bans stem from incidents of racism and offensive chanting during the tournament.
Fined £41,978 and banned from selling tickets to away fans for their next UEFA competition match due to racist behavior in all three of their Group B fixtures.
Fined £33,583 and similarly banned from selling tickets to away supporters for their next UEFA match after incidents across three games.
Fined £25,183 and given a one-match ban on selling tickets to away supporters, suspended for two years, for discriminatory behavior in their matches against Croatia and Spain.
Each received fines and bans for racist and discriminatory behavior from their fans.
UEFA’s Control, Ethics, and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) confirmed these charges across a total of 17 games.
