Tunisia’s incumbent President Kais Saied is projected to win the country’s presidential election with 89.2 percent support, according to exit polls broadcast on national television on Sunday after the polls closed.
At 66 years old, Saied is expected to secure a decisive victory, with his challengers, Ayachi Zemmal and Zouhair Maghzaoui, anticipated to garner 6.9 percent and 3.9 percent of the vote, respectively, as reported by the independent polling group Sigma Conseil.
