The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has achieved significant victories in their counter-terrorism efforts in the Lake Chad Region. Recently, they rescued Mrs. Gambo Genevieve, Head of Service at the Department of Physical Education in Logone and Chari, Cameroon, and five others. This rescue followed a distress call from locals in the villages of Gangawa and Kangaleri in Gogolom, Division of Mora. Upon arrival, the MNJTF troops engaged the terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandon their captives. The rescued individuals are now receiving medical attention.

In another operation, MNJTF troops stationed in Sector 3, Mongunu, apprehended Babagana Zaninu, a key Boko Haram logistics supplier, in Gubio. Zaninu was found with a Toyota pickup truck loaded with various supplies including food items, illicit drugs, and other materials intended for Boko Haram fighters. The supplies, which included soft drinks, sugar, and flour, were meant to be delivered to Gazabure Village in Gubio.

These operations underscore the MNJTF’s dedication to eliminating terrorist threats and disrupting crucial supply lines in the Lake Chad region.
