The recent operations carried out by the Defence Headquarters indicate significant progress in counterterrorism and anti-crime efforts across Nigeria. In the past week, 82 terrorists were killed, and 198 criminals were arrested. Additionally, 93 kidnapping victims were rescued, and over 86 high-caliber weapons were recovered. The troops have also had success in the Niger Delta region, seizing illicit crude oil and destroying illegal refining equipment. This highlights the ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military to combat both terrorism and organized crime within the country.
