“Joao Felix Set for Shock Return to Chelsea as Omorodion Transfer Falls Through”
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is on the verge of a surprise return to Chelsea, as reported by Mail Sport.
The move for Omorodion, initially set at £34.5 million, has collapsed due to contract finalization issues.
Atletico Madrid aimed to offload Omorodion to balance their acquisitions of Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher and Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez. With those deals secured, Atletico is now focusing on Felix.
Felix, who previously had a loan spell at Chelsea scoring four goals in 20 appearances, also spent last season on loan at Barcelona, netting 10 goals in 44 games.
Felix had been a target for Aston Villa, but Chelsea is now reviving discussions for his return.
