President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, for a three-day official visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations. The visit includes signing key agreements related to petroleum resources and security.
Upon arrival at Malabo International Airport, President Tinubu was welcomed by Prime Minister Manuela Botey. The agenda includes a private meeting with President Teodoro Mbasogo, signing of bilateral agreements, and a ceremonial signing of the visitors’ book.
The Nigerian delegation includes key officials such as Yusuf Tuggar (Foreign Affairs Minister), Alhaji Abubakar Badaru (Minister of Defense), Ekperikpe Ekpo (Minister of State for Petroleum Resources), Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (Minister of Interior), and Lateef Fagbemi (Attorney-General and Minister of Justice). The business community is represented by Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu, CEO of Matrix Group.
The visit aims to enhance cooperation between the two nations, particularly in the oil and gas sector and security. The trip will conclude with a dinner and a press statement summarizing the outcomes.
