Ahead of the 64th Independence anniversary on October 1, President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to reforms aimed at establishing Nigeria as a leading global economic power. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced that these transformative policies will rectify past issues and promote sustainable growth.

During a press conference, Idris detailed reforms in macroeconomic stability, foreign exchange management, and tax overhaul to foster investment. He emphasized that, despite global economic challenges, the President is dedicated to reviving the economy.

A significant milestone includes a Supreme Court ruling granting local governments autonomy, enhancing grassroots governance and accountability. Additionally, the administration is pushing for an energy transition to clean energy, notably through a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative that has reduced transportation costs and created jobs. Idris stated that these efforts aim to improve the financial well-being of Nigerians and foster sustainable prosperity.
