FilmOne has acknowledged Timini Egbuson as the top-earning Nollywood actor of 2023. According to recent data released by the film distribution and production company, Timini Egbuson emerged as the highest-grossing Nigerian actor in 2023.

10. Charles Okafor (₦126 million)
Okafor’s career in the entertainment industry spans over three decades. He made his acting debut in 1991 in the Nollywood film, Domitilla. He gained prominence in the industry with his role in the hit film, End of the Wicked, which was released in 1999. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Okafor’s performance earned him widespread praise. Okafor only appeared in one Nollywood film Ada Omo Daddy in 2023.
9. Odunlade Adekola (₦128 million)
A figure in Yoruba cinema, Adekola is not only a captivating actor but also a skilled director. His dedication to his craft and ability to connect with viewers has resulted in two AMVCA wins. Whether in a leading role, like A Million Baby (Best Actor in a Comedy, 2018), or a supporting role, like Jankariwo (Best Supporting Actor, 2022), Adekola consistently delivers memorable performances. He was featured in only the Nollywood film, Orisa in 2023.
8. Deyemi Okanlawon (₦130 million)
Okanlawon made his feature film debut in 2010 with the film, ZR-7, he went on to feature in and co-produce many more short films. He is best known for his roles in Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Blood Sisters, and King of Boys: The Return of the King. Okanlawon was previously listed as the highest-grossing Nollywood actor of 2020 and 2021. He featured in five Nollywood films, Love in a Pandemic, Domitillla, Different Strokes, Osato, and Maniac, in 2023.
7. Ayo Makun (₦137 million)
Ayo Makun is a comedian, and filmmaker, who directed and acted in the Nigerian sitcom, AY’s Crib. He made his first big screen film debut in 2014 with the film, 30 Days in Atlanta. A.Y was featured in only two Nollywood films, Merry Men 3, and Almajiri, in 2023.
6. Emeka Ike (₦144 million)
The Nollywood actor and filmmaker rose to prominence after starring in the film, Deadly Affair (1995). He has since been featured in multiple Nollywood films over the years including, Stigma, Secret Act, The Snake Girl, and Not Man Enough. Ike was featured in one Nollywood movie in 2023 called Malaika.
5. Kunle Remi (₦149 million)
Remi is also a producer, host and model. Remi has appeared in the films Falling and Aníkúlápó, and the television series Tinsel after he won the 7th edition of Gulder Ultimate Search in 2010. He made appearances in the 2023 films Praise Party, The Kujus Again, Love and Lust and Other Things, and Something Like Gold.
4. Ramsey Nouah (₦151 million)
Nouah started acting in the early 1990s, and over the years he has won numerous awards as a leading man. He made his directorial debut with the film Living in Bondage: Breaking Free in 2019 and also went on to direct the remake of the Nollywood classic Rattle Snake: The Ahanna Story. In 2023, Nouah made appearances in two Nollywood films, Love Lust and Other Things and Merry Men 3.
3. Stan Nze (₦166 million)
Stan Nze began his acting career onstage plays He has been featured in the popular television show, Tinsel and tons of other Nollywood projects. Afamefuna, Domitilla, The Trade, and A Weekend to Forget are the four Nollywood films Nze featured in 2023.
2. Jide Kene Achufusi (₦799 million)
Achufusi began his acting career by playing supporting roles in Nollywood films Poka Messiah, Black Rose, Pretty Little Thing, Ofu Obi and A Lonely Lane. He got his breakthrough in 2019 by playing the charismatic Nnamdi Okeke in the movie Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, which earned him a Best Actor nomination and a Trailblazer Award, both at the AMVCA in 2020. Achufusi was featured in two Nollywood films in 2023 that include, A Tribe Called Judah and Ifediche.
