THE WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL (WAEC) NIGERIA ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Nigeria has announced the schedule for the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2024–Second Series. The exams will take place from Friday, October 25, to Friday, December 20, 2024.

In a statement, the Acting Head of the Public Affairs Department, Adesina Moyosola Fadekemi, highlighted that the examination will use a hybrid format, combining onscreen and traditional paper and pen options. Objective questions will be displayed on-screen, while candidates will respond using provided answer booklets for essay and practical questions.

The registration period has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024, and WAEC is introducing a “Walk-in-Candidate” option for those who register 24 hours before their chosen exam date.

Fadekemi encouraged prospective candidates to utilize various resources, including the WAEC e-Study platform, past question books, and the WAECKonnect platform for peer support.
