Popular music producer TG Omori has disclosed that his only brother donated a kidney to him. This revelation comes four months after Omori quit smoking. He made the announcement in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on August 28, 2024, sharing that his brother provided him with a kidney the day before.

Omori expressed his gratitude and the gravity of the situation in his post, stating, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again.”

The post elicited a range of responses from users, many of whom offered well-wishes and support. One comment read, “Stay strong. God’s healing to you and your brother.” Another remarked, “The biggest sacrifices are from families, especially brothers. Quick recovery, bruh,” highlighting the significance of familial support.

Omori also shared on X that he had previously undergone a failed kidney transplant and asked for prayers from his fans. He wrote, “One year after my kidney crashed I just had a failed transplant at St. Nicolas Lagos. Pray for me.”

In a tearful Instagram story, Omori opened up about his fear of dying, posting a picture of himself in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask. He has been candid about his health struggles, including his smoking habits, which he had addressed in previous posts.

This revelation follows a similar story from Nigerian veteran musician Eedris Abdulkareem, who received a kidney donation from his wife, Yetunde. Abdulkareem shared his experience on The Honest Bunch Podcast in February 2024, emphasizing the importance of choosing one’s spouse wisely.
