Tems has released the music video for her single “Burning,” a track from her debut album Born In the Wild. The video, which premiered on August 5, 2024, was delayed due to nationwide protests that began on August 1st. The protests were sparked by economic hardship and the rising cost of living following recent reforms by President Bola Tinubu. Demonstrators called for a reversal of subsidy removals and a reduction in government spending.
The music video, shot in New York City, features Tems walking through iconic locations, including Times Square.
