Tantita Security Ambassadors have commended Tantita Security Services for its commitment to protecting the ozone layer and addressing environmental degradation in the Niger Delta. In a statement marking World Ozone Layer Preservation Day on September 16, the group’s Coordinator Efe Kwakpovwe, Secretary Andrew Efole, and Public Relations Officer Stanley Umukoro highlighted the firm’s contributions through its pipeline surveillance contract.
The ambassadors, comprising professionals and activists from oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta, acknowledged Tantita Security Services’ role in safeguarding oil pipelines from vandalism, illegal exploration, and refining. These efforts have significantly reduced harmful hydrocarbon emissions, protecting both the environment and public health.
The statement expressed their willingness to collaborate as volunteers with Tantita Security Services to promote a sustainable environment. They also recognized Chief Government Ekpemukpolo (Tompolo) and Managing Director Chief Kestin Pondi for their leadership and contributions to socio-economic transformation.
Additionally, the group applauded Tompolo’s educational support, including a recent donation of N7 million to the best graduating student at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, and military support through the renovation of a lodge for soldiers at the 32 Amphibious Barracks in Effurun.
