Swarovski Nigeria recently wrapped up a successful three-day tour with its global partners, visiting key stores in Lagos and Abuja from September 16 to 18, 2024. This tour celebrated the brand’s expanding presence in Nigeria and featured the official unveiling of the Swarovski store at Palms Mall, Lagos.

NEW BRAND INFLUENCERS INTRODUCED

A highlight of the visit was the introduction of two new brand influencers, Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Efe Irele. Both influencers resonate well with Swarovski’s Nigerian audience, showcasing the brand’s commitment to collaboration with individuals who embody style, elegance, and modern luxury.

The tour kicked off with a press conference at the Palms Mall store, attracting major media outlets and generating significant coverage of Swarovski’s latest offerings. This event marked the store’s official unveiling as a key part of Swarovski’s luxury retail strategy in Nigeria. On September 17, the team visited Jabi Mall in Abuja to explore further expansion opportunities, concluding at Ikeja City Mall on September 18.

Jonathan Minter, Regional Sales Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at Swarovski, emphasized Nigeria’s importance in the brand’s African expansion strategy, noting the growing middle and upper classes. He stated, “Our goal is to blend Swarovski’s global heritage with localized marketing to establish it as a leading brand in Nigeria.”

Chika Nnadozie, Head of Marketing at Polo Limited, highlighted Swarovski’s reputation for crystals and luxury accessories, explaining the brand’s strategic direction in Nigeria. “Our efforts will include in-store activations, influencer collaborations, and digital campaigns, designed to resonate with the local audience,” she noted.

FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY AND AFFORDABILITY

Olamoniso Nduka, Head of Business Development at Polo Limited, addressed questions regarding sustainability, affirming Swarovski’s commitment to responsible sourcing and ethical practices. He also discussed currency fluctuation concerns, emphasizing localized pricing strategies to ensure affordability across different socio-economic classes.

The tour not only celebrated current successes but also included discussions on the future of Swarovski in Nigeria, covering plans for new product launches and innovative retail experiences.
