The Super Eagles of Nigeria have retained their 39th position in the latest FIFA world rankings. This follows their performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, where they defeated Benin Republic 3-0 and drew with Rwanda in Kigali.
In Africa, Nigeria is ranked sixth, behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, and Tunisia. Ghana, a direct rival, is ranked 70th, while South Africa stands at 59th.
The Super Eagles are currently searching for a new head coach as they prepare for their next AFCON qualifier against Libya in Group D next month. Nigeria leads their group with four points from two matches.
