On September 4, 2024, Skales took to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss how some individuals he had supported in the past changed their loyalty after achieving success. This led to backlash from some users accusing him of switching sides with Wizkid, who Skales claimed had always been unfriendly toward him.
In his response, Skales firmly denied any betrayal, stating, “I never ever switched on him … he doesn’t like me … we were never close friends either but EME members … so rest.” He further emphasized that he does not seek Wizkid’s approval, adding, “I no want make him like me either.”
