The leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Centre for Deliverance Through Evangelism, Daki-biyu District, Kubwa, Abuja, Senior Pastor Alex Ogundipe, has prayed for divine intervention to alleviate Nigeria’s current hardships, including inflation and the fuel price crisis.
During the church’s 19th Annual Harvest Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday, Pastor Ogundipe urged Nigerians to seek God during challenging times, referencing the Bible’s promises of deliverance and salvation. The prayer session was centered on Nigeria’s economic struggles, emphasizing the importance of faith and positivity in overcoming national challenges.
Pastor Ogundipe reminded political leaders that their authority is derived from God, urging them to align with divine purpose and prioritize the well-being of the nation. He also encouraged national unity, promoting the idea that Nigerians should speak positively about their country and trust in its potential. He remarked, “Nigeria’s greatness lies in its people’s positive mindset.”
He stated, “Many lives are in turmoil due to hardships, inflation, and fuel prices; people are confused about God and seeking help. They have ideas but don’t know the true God. They are confused and seeking help everywhere.”
Referencing Luke chapter four, he added, “Jesus Christ went to the synagogue and read, saying the Spirit of the Lord is upon him to proclaim good tidings, to tell people that only God can deliver, save, and improve their situations. That is the good news we must share.”
Pastor Ogundipe’s message to the government emphasized that leadership is ordained by God, as stated in Romans chapter 13. He urged leaders to align with God’s purpose and recognize Nigeria as a land of potential. He encouraged citizens to declare positivity about Nigeria, suggesting that speaking negatively would blind them to its benefits.
He affirmed, “Nigeria is a good land. If you believe and speak positively, you will reap its benefits. Many from other countries see Nigeria’s blessings. We have fertile land where things grow easily.”
Evang. Adesina Ajimati, chairman of the occasion, reiterated the importance of hope, encouraging Nigerians to keep faith alive and trust in God’s plan for the country’s prosperity. He said, “God can turn things around. Nigerians should keep hope alive. Nigeria will be great.”
As the nation approaches its independence celebrations, the leaders and attendees of the service prayed for divine guidance for Nigeria’s leaders, hoping for positive changes amid ongoing challenges. Pastor (Mrs.) Oluremi Olatudun expressed gratitude for God’s blessings in Nigeria, trusting that the nation will overcome its hardships.
The event, which brought together various religious leaders, fostered interfaith harmony and hope amid the current challenges facing Nigeria
