In a recent initiative to promote attitudinal change for national development, several senators have expressed their support for the distribution of 10 billion copies of “Rhapsody of Realities,” a monthly devotional publication by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church. The inauguration of the initiative, titled “Reachout World Day with Rhapsody of Realities,” took place at the National Assembly Complex on Thursday.

Senator Omueya Dafinone (APC-Delta) praised “Rhapsody of Realities” as a vital life guide, stating that it provides readers with daily insights from God’s word to encourage personal reflection and improvement. He emphasized the publication’s goal of fostering a better life for its readers globally.

Senator Thomas Joel-Onowakpo (PDP-Delta) acknowledged the transformative impact of the work being done by Christ Embassy Church. He noted that achieving the ambitious target for the initiative would require significant funding but encouraged those involved to remain hopeful, asserting that “the money for the work of God will come.” He urged everyone, especially the youth, to engage with the publication, likening it to the Bible in its guiding potential.

Pastor Obi Chiemeka, Director of Christ Embassy Ministry Centre in Abuja, highlighted the global reach of “Rhapsody of Realities,” noting that it has been translated into 8,132 languages and is available in braille for the visually impaired. He announced ongoing efforts to translate the publication into various dialects, aiming to increase the total number of translations to 12,000, with plans for monthly distribution.

This initiative reflects a broader commitment among lawmakers to leverage religious literature as a means of fostering positive societal changes and development in Nigeria.
