Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has asserted that he will not compromise his well-being or principles to show loyalty to anyone amid the ongoing political crisis in the state.
Speaking at an Inter-denominational Church Thanksgiving Service in Port Harcourt, Fubara emphasized his commitment to standing for what is right, even if it means standing alone. He stated, “I cannot give my kidney or liver to anybody if that’s the only reason for me to be loyal.”
Fubara highlighted his achievements in his first year, including the construction of a General Hospital and a Psychiatric Hospital, contrasting his efforts with those of previous administrations. He remarked, “What I did in one year is what they did in eight years. It is only an empty container that makes noise.”
He concluded by expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve and vowed to continue working for the people without fear.
