Retired Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa, Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has donated ₦120 million worth of fertiliser to the Borno government. Marwa made the donation during a condolence visit to Governor Babagana Zulum and the Shehu of Borno, His Highness Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanem, in response to the recent flood disaster in Borno.

Marwa, moved by the extent of the disaster which he described as potentially the worst in Nigeria’s history, arranged for the donation of high-yield fertilisers equivalent to ten trailer loads. The fertiliser is intended to support affected farmers and help prevent potential famine.

Marwa emphasized the need for continued support from Nigerians and collaboration with government efforts to address both immediate and long-term needs resulting from the flood. Governor Zulum and the Shehu expressed their gratitude for Marwa’s generous contribution and support.
