President Tinubu honored Oluwole-Johnson, former Ondo State governorship aspirant and CEO of Benol Management & Development Company, describing him as exceptionally intelligent and forward-thinking.

“His rugged determination and tenacity reflected the shared passion we had for Nigeria. While his exuberance sometimes got him into trouble, it was a testament to his vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to bettering himself, his community, and the nation,” Tinubu remarked.

Recalling their time together in Chicago, Illinois, Tinubu highlighted Oluwole-Johnson’s intellectual prowess and business acumen, consistently showcasing his brilliance.

The President praised Oluwole-Johnson’s philanthropy, particularly his role in securing and donating over $42 million worth of hospital equipment to Nigeria, especially Lagos State.

“Despite the extensive, difficult, and time-consuming nature of the work, Ben never took a penny for his efforts,” Tinubu noted.

The President further reflected on Oluwole-Johnson’s deep love for Nigeria, which inspired him to run for governor in Ondo State, with support from the Nigerian community in Chicago, including Tinubu himself.

“Though he didn’t win, his audacity and courage earned his esteemed wife, Moji, the affectionate title of ‘First Lady’ in my book and in the hearts of many Nigerians,” Tinubu added.

Even as Oluwole-Johnson’s health declined, his unwavering dedication to Nigeria remained evident, a testament to his enduring commitment.
