PRESIDENT TINUBU DELEGATES SHETTIMA TO LEAD NIGERIAN DELEGATION AT UNGA 79

President Bola Tinubu has appointed his deputy, Senator Kashim Shettima, to lead Nigeria’s delegation at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, USA.

In a statement from Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, it was revealed that President Tinubu, who returned to Nigeria last Sunday after trips to China and the UK, is focusing on domestic issues and the recent severe flooding.

Vice President Shettima will represent Nigeria by delivering the national statement, participating in key sideline events, and engaging in bilateral meetings. The high-level General Debate, themed “Leaving no one behind: Acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations,” will take place from September 24 to September 28, 2024.
