In a recent interview on Echo Room, Nigerian Street Pop star Portable opened up about the fallout with Afrobeats megastar Davido, revealing that Zlatan played a significant role in the rift. Portable, known for his music and viral antics, discussed the situation in depth.
According to Portable, his relationship with Davido was positive until Zlatan’s involvement. The singer recounted that while he was touring America, he had a memorable encounter with Davido, who even gifted him a pair of sneakers. However, during this time, Zlatan reportedly warned Davido against associating with Portable, which Portable claims led to a deterioration in their relationship.
Portable expressed frustration on social media, accusing Zlatan of spreading false information to damage his rapport with Davido. Despite his public outbursts, Portable later issued an apology to Zlatan in an attempt to mend their strained relationship.
This is not the first time Portable has faced public disputes. Earlier this year, he had a highly publicized conflict with socialite Bobrisky and recently reconciled with musician Goya Menor after a fallout over the 2022 Headies Best Street Pop Award.
Portable also used the interview to promote his new single, “Oriade,” which he performed live on Echo Room.
