Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Police Command in Lagos State are currently interrogating three suspects for allegedly possessing suspected human tongues. The command’s Spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development in a post shared on his X handle @benHundeyin on Tuesday.
Hundeyin revealed that two of the suspects were apprehended on October 15 during a routine stop-and-search operation on Otedola Bridge, where the human parts were discovered in a taxi.
He further explained that subsequent investigations led to the arrest of a third suspect, from whom the human parts were reportedly purchased at Oyingbo Market in Lagos.
Investigations are ongoing at the command headquarters, and Hundeyin stated that the suspects would be arraigned if found culpable.
