A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter crashed early Monday morning in Tami village, located in Kaduna State’s Igabi Local Government Area. The helicopter was on a routine operational flight when it encountered technical problems, leading to the accident.
The pilot successfully followed emergency procedures and survived the crash with only minor injuries, as confirmed by eyewitnesses who rushed to the scene. Residents provided immediate assistance and expressed relief that there were no fatalities.
A team of NAF officers quickly arrived at the crash site to secure the area and begin an initial investigation. They restricted access to ensure the safety of the villagers and conducted preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash, which remains unknown. Although the NAF has not yet issued an official statement, an investigation is expected to reveal the factors that led to the incident.
