PENCOM REPORTS PENSION ASSETS REACH N20.79 TRILLION

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has announced that the total pension assets have reached N20.79 trillion.

Ms. Omolola Oloworararan, the Acting Director General of PenCom, made this announcement on Tuesday in Lagos during the Commission’s quarterly consultative forum for states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Pension Bureau.

She highlighted that the pension fund assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) have shown significant growth, reaching ₦20.79 trillion as of July 2024. Oloworararan also noted the consistent remittance of contributions by states, with over ₦236.7 billion contributed between January 2020 and the second quarter of 2024.
