The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken significant measures to address internal conflicts and strengthen discipline within its ranks by inaugurating two crucial committees. These committees have been established to tackle the persistent internal crisis that has affected the party since its 2022 national convention.
The Reconciliation Committee, chaired by former Osun State Governor Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has been assigned the task of resolving internal disputes, promoting harmony among members, and enhancing party cohesion. The committee will collaborate closely with other party organs to ensure unity within the PDP.
Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee, led by High Chief Tom Ikimi, is responsible for addressing misconduct and ensuring accountability within the party. Chief Ikimi emphasized the committee’s commitment to upholding party ethics and values, ensuring that all members comply with the principles of the PDP.
The PDP leadership considers the formation of these committees as a vital step toward building a stronger and more united party, dedicated to serving the interests of Nigeria and its citizens. The inauguration of these committees represents an important milestone in the party’s ongoing efforts to promote good governance and national well-being.
