The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released unofficial results from the Edo State governorship election, gathered by its collation agents. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, also the Chairman of the Edo PDP National Campaign Council, raised concerns about alleged irregularities and disruptions in the collation process by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the PDP’s figures, their candidate, Asue Ighodalo, received 143,100 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, garnered 136,777 votes. Fintiri highlighted results from 12 local government areas before the collation process was interrupted, emphasizing the party’s demand for a continuation of the collation per the Electoral Act and INEC guidelines.

Fintiri accused INEC of truncating the collation process and called for its restoration in accordance with the law. The PDP insists that INEC must respect the Electoral Act and the rules governing the election.
