Pastor Joseph Omorinoye, the General Overseer of House of Prayer Assembly Church in Ilorin, generously distributed cash gifts totaling ₦25 million to 178 members during a service held on Sunday at the church auditorium in Majasurawa. The funds were intended to support the members in their businesses amid the current economic hardships.

While making the donation, Omorinoye emphasized the importance of prioritizing the welfare of church followers. He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely, advising against spending on unnecessary luxuries. “We know how things are, and it is very tough in the country. We want to support your businesses and careers with this. Nothing is too small to start up a business. Invest wisely and don’t waste it on unnecessary things,” he stated.

The pastor outlined that the total amount was shared among various categories of beneficiaries, including widows, farmers, artisans, business owners, and students. He assured the congregation that those not included in this distribution would be accommodated in future batches.

Pastor Deji Olorunfemi, the Chairman of the church’s Welfare Committee, echoed Omorinoye’s sentiments, encouraging beneficiaries to utilize the funds for self-development and business growth. He also mentioned that the church would closely monitor how the money was spent.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and commitment to investing the funds in their respective ventures. Miss Caroline Adeola shared her excitement after receiving ₦100,000 for her cosmetic business, stating, “I am so excited. I will invest the money in my business.” Another recipient, Oluwatosin Olawuyi, pledged to use her ₦200,000 for her garri business, expressing her joy and appreciation for Omorinoye’s generosity.

The distribution included varying amounts, with some artisans receiving ₦200,000 and higher institution students receiving ₦100,000. Additionally, qualified farmers and widows also benefited from the generous gesture.
