OYO STATE GOVERNMENT TO RECRUIT 791 NEW CIVIL SERVICE OFFICERS

The Oyo State Government has announced plans to recruit 791 new officers across various cadres of its mainstream civil service.

Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe, Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, made this announcement on Wednesday in Ibadan while addressing newsmen. He detailed that the recruitment would include 230 education officers and 561 other positions, marking the largest intake into the mainstream civil service in the last two decades.

Prospective applicants are required to visit the state government job portal at www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng from October 7 to October 11 to submit their applications. Aderibigbe emphasized that the online application process would promote due diligence, fairness, and equity in the recruitment effort.

He outlined the qualifications for various positions:

  • Applicants for roles requiring a degree must hold a university degree with a minimum of second class honours.
  • Those applying for positions requiring a Higher National Diploma (HND) must be polytechnic graduates with at least lower credit.
  • All graduates must possess NYSC discharged or exemption certificates at the time of recruitment.
  • Applicants for roles requiring the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) must have graduated with a minimum of merit.

Aderibigbe assured that the commission would prioritize competence in the recruitment process and ensure that duties are carried out without any political interference.
