In a bid to ensure transparency and accountability in Hajj processing, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the opening of a registration portal for intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj operations.
A statement issued by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mr. Aderibigbe Rasheed, revealed that the Governor’s approval extends to online registration for both the Muslim and Christian Pilgrims Boards.
Rasheed emphasized that the newly adopted process aims to enhance transparency and accountability in the upcoming Hajj operations. “Mr. Governor is concerned about accountability and transparency in government dealings, and with his determination to ensure value for money expended by individuals or groups, hence the resolve minimizes personal contact with intending pilgrims’ registration,” he stated.
He further encouraged the public, particularly those interested in the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, to log on to the designated websites: muslimpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng for Muslim pilgrims and christianpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng for Christian pilgrims.
“This would make the process more open and less time-consuming for our intending pilgrims and give value for money,” Rasheed added.
