The immediate past governor of Benue, Samuel Ortom, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will reclaim power in the state in 2027.

Ortom made this statement during the party’s state congress on Thursday in Makurdi, highlighting the enthusiasm and zeal shown by party members as a sign of the PDP’s momentum to dislodge the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power.

He urged party members to unite and work cohesively to achieve this goal.

The PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman in Benue, Sen. Napoleon Bali, emphasized that the party is growing stronger in the state. Represented by the committee secretary, Mr. Osita Ogene, Bali expressed his desire for the congress to proceed smoothly.

Mr. David Amo, speaking on behalf of the Benue North East Senatorial District, noted the significant attendance at the congress, calling it a testament to the PDP’s vitality in the state.

Dr. Laha Dzever, representing the Benue North West Senatorial District, affirmed that the party would continue to advance and wrest power from the APC in 2027, urging PDP loyalists to collaborate and work diligently for the party’s success.
