Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, has declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) effectively “dead” and urged voters to avoid wasting their votes on the opposition.

Aiyedatiwa made this declaration during his campaign tour of Igbobini, Kiribo Igbotu, and other communities within the Ese-Odo Local Government Area. He thanked the communities for their patience and support, promising to reciprocate their loyalty after the elections.

During his speeches, Aiyedatiwa highlighted several initiatives undertaken by his administration, stating, “No doubt, we have initiated many projects, and we will do more. Our roads, schools, and hospitals are receiving attention. We have also ensured the state’s security.” He emphasized ongoing efforts to employ more teachers and improve educational standards.

Addressing the gathered crowds, Aiyedatiwa said, “You must troop out en masse and vote for our party (APC) in the election.” He encouraged voters to use their ballots to “chase away” other political parties, asserting, “We’ve torn the PDP’s umbrella into shreds.” He claimed that many key figures in the PDP have now aligned themselves with the APC.

The governor expressed gratitude for the steadfastness of APC members, noting that their support has made the ruling party stronger in the state. He reiterated his commitment to continue initiating developmental projects across Ondo State if re-elected, focusing on education, health, and infrastructure improvements.

At Kiribo, Aiyedatiwa reinforced the importance of the upcoming election and urged constituents to remain committed to the progress initiated by his administration.
