This achievement surpasses Shallipopi’s ‘Shakespopi,’ which received 5.7 million streams in its opening week.
The EP’s success reaffirms Olamide’s stature as one of Nigeria’s leading artists, known for his consistent influence in African rap. ‘Ikigai’ features collaborations with YBNL stars Fireboy and Asake on track 3, ‘Uptown Disco,’ and reunites Olamide with former YBNL associates Pheelz, Young Jonn, and Lil Kesh on track 7, titled ‘Synchro System.’
