Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has lauded Fan Milk-Danone for its continued investment in Nigeria over the past 60 years. Speaking in Ibadan on Thursday at the inauguration of a new factory and the launch of a new product by Danone Limited, Obasanjo remarked that his Operation Feed the Nation initiative could have significantly advanced the nation’s food sufficiency if it had been sustained by his successors.
OBASANJO URGES INVESTMENT IN LIVESTOCK FARMING AND DAIRY PRODUCTION
At the event, Obasanjo encouraged Nigerians to invest in livestock farming and urged the Oyo State Government to develop the state into a dairy hub. He called for education programs to be established for local farmers to improve dairy farming practices.
