The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has reported the recovery of two additional bodies from the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter that crashed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, involved six passengers and two crew members, resulting in the confirmed deaths of three individuals at the crash site.

Following a follow-up on Friday, the NSIB announced that two more bodies have been located, increasing the total number of recovered bodies to five. However, three individuals are still missing as recovery efforts continue.

In an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, NSIB Director General Alex Badeh provided an update on the search operations, expressing hope for the recovery of the remaining three bodies. When questioned about the possibility of survivors, Badeh stated, “Unfortunately, the current working theory is that none of those on board survived.”
