The Corps Commandant announced that an investigation has been initiated and legal action will be pursued against those responsible for the crimes.

NSCDC Detains Looters from NCC Industrial Park in Kano, Recovers Stolen Goods
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano has detained 15 alleged looters across various locations in the state.

Corps Commandant Mohammad Falala shared this information with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) during a phone interview on Friday.

Falala stated that the suspects were apprehended with stolen items from the Digital Industrial Park, Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), and other sites.

The arrests were executed by the NSCDC’s Anti-Vandalism, Armed Squad, and Operations Department, based on reliable intelligence from the Intelligence and Investigation Department.

The confiscated stolen goods included computer desktops, keyboards, LCD TVs, executive chairs, doors, window frames, and drawers.

Additionally, four suspects were caught damaging state road dual carriageway iron barriers and transporting the stolen items to an undisclosed location.

In another case, NSCDC officers recovered a 50KVA Mikano generator from criminals in Dorayi who had vandalized it and were attempting to remove it.

The commandant indicated that the Corps has commenced an investigation and will pursue legal action against the perpetrators. He also noted that efforts to protect critical national assets and public utilities have been strengthened, advising criminals to refrain from vandalizing public infrastructure.
