National Security Adviser (NSA) Malam Nuhu Ribadu has threatened to sue Anthony Aziegbemi, the Edo State chairperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), following accusations of election rigging.

On September 14, Aziegbemi alleged that Ribadu and the Department of State Services (DSS) were plotting to manipulate the upcoming Edo Governorship Election. He claimed that Ribadu had provided $2 million to the APC candidate to influence the election outcome.

Ribadu’s legal team, Charles Musa & Co, rejected these accusations as false and damaging to Ribadu’s reputation. They demanded a public apology and retraction, along with ₦10 billion in damages. The NSA’s lawyers have given Aziegbemi a seven-day deadline to meet these demands or face legal action.
