NOLLYWOOD DIRECTOR MICHAEL ‘AMA PSALMIST’ AKINROGUNDE NOMINATED FOR TFAA PRIZE FOR FILM

Nollywood director Michael “Ama Psalmist” Akinrogunde, along with four other filmmakers, has been nominated for the 18th edition of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) Prize for Film. This initiative recognizes young achievers aged 18 to 31 for their significant contributions over the past year.

The nominees in the Film category include:

  • Omotola Okodhuga: Producer at Stories by X Media and media lead at Street Church, which spreads the gospel through unconventional means.
  • Fadamana Okwong: Director of Photography for the feature film Green Fever.
  • Praise Onyeagwalam (Director Pink): Known for music direction on hits like “Running to You” by Chike ft. Simi and “Egwu” by Chike ft. Mohbad.
  • Feyifunmi Ogini: Producer of Ajosepo and Shina.

The theme for this year’s awards is “Celebrating the Great and Daring,” with nominations spanning 23 categories, including education, law, entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology, photography, acting, and music. The organizers emphasized the groundbreaking work of these filmmakers in bringing African stories to a global audience.
