NNPC Limited has announced new petrol pump prices nationwide following the loading of fuel from Dangote Refinery. In Lagos, petrol will now sell at N950 per litre, up from N855. In Abuja, the price is N992.22 per litre, an increase from N897, while in Borno, it is N1,019.22 per litre.
NNPC confirmed that it loaded the product at N898 per litre from Dangote and invited anyone with different figures to make them public. The corporation emphasized that, under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), the government does not set PMS prices, which are negotiated between parties.
NNPC also clarified that payments to Dangote Refinery are being made in USD for September 2024 supplies, with Naira transactions set to begin from October 1st, 2024. If pricing disputes arise, NNPC expressed readiness to pass any discounts from Dangote directly to the public.
