NIMET PREDICTS THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NIGERIA FROM MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast thunderstorms across the country from Monday to Wednesday.

In its weather outlook released on Sunday in Abuja, NiMet indicated localized thunderstorms in Kebbi and Zamfara States during the morning hours.

The agency expects additional thunderstorms in Zamfara, Kaduna, Bauchi, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba States during the afternoon and evening.

In the North Central region, localized thunderstorms are anticipated in Niger and Kwara States in the morning, with further thunderstorms expected later in the day over the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kogi, and Kwara states.

Southern cities, including parts of Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, and Ondo States, will also experience localized thunderstorms in the morning.

On Tuesday, thunderstorms are predicted in Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa States in the morning, with further thunderstorms later in Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Bauchi, Borno, and Gombe States.

NiMet emphasizes the need for preparedness as localized thunderstorms are expected to continue throughout the week.
