NIGERIAN STUDENTS WIN STAR PRIZE AT DREXEL UNIVERSITY INNOVATION TOURNAMENT

A multi-disciplinary team of Nigerian students in the United States, led by Kamdi Lee Okeke, has won the star prize in the Baiada Institute Innovation Tournament/Competition organized by the School of Entrepreneurship at Drexel University in Philadelphia for Spring 2024.

The competition featured a hackathon-style format that included idea pitching, team building, business model development, and networking opportunities. Students showcased their creative problem-solving skills and practical entrepreneurship abilities through hands-on experiences in developing and pitching innovative ideas.

The winning team received a $5,000 prize and will also benefit from a year of incubation services at the Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship
