The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted thunderstorms across the country from Monday to Wednesday. In its weather outlook released on Sunday, NiMet indicated localized thunderstorms in parts of Kebbi and Zamfara States during the morning hours.
Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected in Zamfara, Kaduna, Bauchi, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Taraba States.
In the North Central region, localized thunderstorms are anticipated in Niger and Kwara States in the morning, with further thunderstorms expected later in the day over the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kogi, and Kwara.
Southern regions, including Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, and Ondo States, will also experience localized thunderstorms in the morning. Later, storms are expected over Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Imo, Enugu, Ekiti, Edo, Ebonyi, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, Lagos, and Akwa Ibom States.
For Tuesday, morning thunderstorms are predicted in Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa States, with later thunderstorms in Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Bauchi, Borno, and Gombe States.
Additionally, localized thunderstorms are forecasted in Plateau and Nasarawa States during the morning, with more thunderstorms expected in the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa, and Niger States later in the day.
