Nigerian Army Recovers 238,500 Litres of Stolen Crude Oil in Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers States.
The 6 Division of the Nigerian Army has successfully recovered approximately 238,500 litres of stolen crude oil across Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers States. The operation led to the seizure of the oil from trucks and illegal refining sites.
Lt.-Col. Danjuma Danjuma, the division’s spokesperson, reported that the crude oil was confiscated from various locations, including illegal refining sites and vehicles involved in oil theft. Five suspects have been apprehended and will face prosecution.

Rivers Over 33,000 litres of crude oil, along with equipment, were recovered from an illegal site connected to the Indorama Petrochemical pipeline. Additionally, more than 5,500 litres were seized from an illegal refining site near Well Head 8 in Degema Local Government Area.

Danjuma emphasized that these actions are part of a broader effort to combat oil theft and illegal bunkering in the Niger Delta. He urged the public to assist security agencies by providing reliable intelligence to help track down oil thieves and economic saboteurs.
