The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, announced that local airlines have agreed to source their jet fuel exclusively from Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

During an appearance on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program, Keyamo stated that this decision aligns with the refinery’s recent commencement of jet fuel production for the domestic market.

Keyamo noted, “The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) recently convened and collectively decided to cease reliance on imported jet fuel, aiming to support local production.”

He emphasized the significance of this move, stating, “It is coinciding with the Dangote refinery’s entry into the market, where they will soon produce Jet A1 fuel for our local industry.”

Keyamo added that he supports this initiative, saying, “It is a decision by the airline operators, with my push and blessing, that they should exclusively purchase from Dangote refinery.”
