The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has started the airlift of election materials to Benin, Edo State, in preparation for the governorship election scheduled for 21 September 2024.
Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information, stated that this operation is part of a larger effort to ensure the timely and secure delivery of materials essential for the election.
The airlift underscores the collaboration between NAF and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to facilitate logistics and promote a peaceful election process in Edo State.
Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff, emphasized NAF’s commitment to supporting INEC in the swift movement of electoral materials, fulfilling the Air Force’s constitutional role in providing Military Aid to Civil Authority.
